Complete Your Verification Request

You've received a verification request from a service provider who needs to confirm your identity. Completing this request creates your VerifiMe Wallet—a secure digital identity you control and can share with other service providers in the future.

The process takes 10–15 minutes. You can save your progress and return later if needed.

What You'll Need

Access to your email. Make sure you can access this account during this process.

One or two identity documents. Your service provider will specify which documents they require. Accepted documents include:

  • Passport

  • Driver Licence

  • Medicare Card

All documents must be current and valid (not expired).

A device with a camera. You'll need to photograph your identity documents and take a selfie for verification. Use a smartphone, tablet, or computer with:

  • A working camera

  • Good lighting

  • A stable internet connection

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open Your Invitation

Click the link in the email from your service provider (or wherever they've provided access to it). This takes you to the VerifiMe verification portal.

Step 2: Enter Your Details

Provide your personal information as requested. This typically includes your full name, date of birth, and residential address.

Step 3: Upload Your Identity Documents

Photograph or upload clear images of the identity documents specified by your service provider. Ensure all text is legible and the entire document is visible. Review the information captured by the system to make sure it's correct.

Step 4: Biometric Check

Follow the prompts to take a selfie. This confirms you're the person shown on your identity documents. If you cannot complete this step, select More Options to skip it.

Step 5: Submit & Share

Confirm you're happy to share your identity information for verification and that you understand this information and result may be stored for a set period. You may also be asked to add another entity if you're transacting with the service provider via a company or trust.

Step 6: Set Up Your Wallet (Optional)

Having completed this verification, you can now set up your VerifiMe Wallet for future use. This lets you share your verified credentials with other service providers without repeating the verification process.

You can skip this step or press Continue to set up your wallet. VerifiMe uses passwordless authentication—you'll set up either:

  • A passkey (recommended), or

  • An authenticator app

What Happens Next

Once your verification is approved, your VerifiMe Wallet is ready to use. From your wallet, you can:

  • View your verified credentials — See what identity information is stored and verified

  • Grant permissions to other service providers — Share your verified identity without repeating the verification process

  • Add business entities — Set up companies, trusts, or SMSFs you control and manage their credentials
